Actually, it was pretty cool to watch the guys take off. G.L. even got to make a couple of turns over the mountains. Matt told him that he was a natural. Just what I needed, please don't encourage him! Good thing we just got on new life insurance!
Matt, good lookin, single 37 year old pilot and G.L. good lookin, not single 50 year old wannabe pilot. I was told the next time around it would be my turn. After a few daredevil stunts over the airport, I'm not quite sure what I think about that! G.L. said it was better than a roller coaster. Today was kind of a neat experience for the new Heber Airport Manager. He was invited to ride shotgun in an old WWII P17 military trainer plane. The first time up, he got to see quite a bit of Heber Valley. The second time up, Matt and G.L. did a tribute low elevation flyby and a couple of nifty turns for a WWII pilot who had passed away. It was a nice gathering/memorial service held right outside of Hangar I where G.L.s office is located. Deb stayed busy driving the little golf caddy around and taking pictures of the cool airplanes.

What's the deal with this "G.L."? Isn't it enough that he made one name change? Do we really have to start calling him G.L.? We WON'T do it! It's Papa Lee and that's that! Now, for the big adventure. I love that plane! You can tell dad was as happy as a little girl! I hope he gets to do a lot of fun stuff like that now that he works at the airport! His wildest dreams will come true!!!
